About

Olá, I’m Marcela.

I was born and raised in Brazil, where my fascination with languages and cultures began at a very young age. As a child, I dreamed of living abroad, but my world back then was deeply local. Perhaps it was that contrast, longing for the wider world while rooted in one place, that fueled my lifelong passion for languages.

Over the years, I studied German, French, English, and Spanish, and even imagined a career as a diplomat. That curiosity eventually led me to live in four countries and travel to more than thirty, each experience deepening my appreciation for how people live, connect, and celebrate their traditions around the globe.

Now, as a mother, my vision has grown even richer. I want my child to experience the same beauty I see in languages and cultures, to understand that every word and every tradition carries a story. I believe that as the world becomes more interconnected, the greatest gift we can pass on to our children is the heritage of our language and culture.

Through this space, I hope to share my journey and inspire other parents to nurture bilingualism and cultural pride at home, wherever life takes us. After all, raising children who value both their roots and the world beyond is one of the most meaningful legacies we can leave.
